Edward K. McDougal
Edward has been involved in the financial services industry since 2019. Prior to joining Savant, he was a client specialist for a national broker-dealer firm. Edward has extensive experience with financial, tax, and estate planning, primarily working with high-net-worth families, widows, and executives with international planning needs.
Edward earned a bachelor of arts degree in international relations with a minor in economics from Wheaton (IL) College. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a notary public.
Edward serves as a CFP® mentor and tutor. He volunteers at Lincoln Park Community homeless shelter and as a soccer coach at Trevian Soccer Club, and he is a member of the Chicago Chess Foundation. Edward has been to 64 countries and loves traveling to connect with people and learn about other cultures, but his favorite part of traveling is always coming home to Chicago. With deep roots in the community, you can find him on the weekends either on the golf course or coaching soccer. He enjoys reading, cycling, and spending time with his family and friends. His day is brightened when he hears from clients and has an opportunity to listen, serve, and care for them.
“At the end of the day, it's not about what you have or even what you've accomplished. It's about what you've done with those accomplishments. It’s about who you've lifted up, who you've made better. It’s about what you've given back.” – Denzel Washington
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (CFP Board) owns the certification marks CFP® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ in the U.S., which it authorizes use of by individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
